I work with many lovely and talented photographers in my area. Two of which I share Oak & Ivory, our studio. Jocelyn, one of my partners, messaged me while I knew she was on vacation. Her beautiful sister-in-law was in labor 4 weeks early! We were surprised and I was delighted to fill in at the birth in Provo, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Making sure everyone is updated on the progress of her labor.

Grandpa (dad’s dad) was a great addition to the team during labor.

Mixology at the hospital? YES! Utah Valley Regional Medical Center hooks up those ice chips!

Watching the Rio Olympics while Momma courageously labors. If she hadn’t stood up to speak on the phone to the anxiously waiting babies at home, I’d have thought she had an epidural already!

After an epidural, Piton was in order to keep things moving.

Grandma made it! After driving to Las Vegas the day before, she turned right back around and came back to Provo! Wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Great Grandma rode up with Daddy’s mom for the birth. What a blessing to have so much support!
We saw the add for The Comfort Channel and had to try it out. Our first look at it was not very comforting, a depiction of a nurse helping a patient to the restroom. But, as labor continued we had one more go at it and found it worked! At least for Dad!

A moment of zen for daddy, right before pushing.

Accurate depiction. These beds always make me giggle.
And she’s finally here!

Immediate joy at this tiny bundle’s birth!

Sweet moment after all of the excitement. Who does she look like?

Dad watches, spellbound by his new little beauty.
Sweet, quiet moment with mom.

Getting cleaned and wrapped for her entourage of visitors.

The final update!

Precious!

4 generations!

Proud Grandma & Grandpa with their newest grand baby!
Couldn’t have said it better myself! What an honor to be part of this miracle!
